Accessibility

Our approach

GMP designs and manufactures machines for people at work: hotels, laundries, communities, healthcare facilities. We believe the same attention to people should apply to the digital tools we present ourselves with. A website that not everyone can use is a website that excludes customers, partners and anyone interested in what we do.

That is why we regard digital accessibility as part of the quality of our work, rather than a requirement to be dealt with at the last minute. It is a criterion we apply when we design and update our content, in the same spirit in which we look after the ergonomics and safety of the machines we build.

The standard we follow

The international reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We have adopted its principles for our website: content perceivable through different senses, navigation that works without a mouse, predictable language and behaviour, compatibility with assistive technologies.

On a website with hundreds of pages, six languages and technical documentation built up over years, meeting that standard is a gradual process. We have begun a systematic review and are continuing to work on it: the site is currently in partial conformance with the standard, and we prefer to say so openly rather than claim a result that is not yet complete.

A commitment that concerns everyone

Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act (Directive EU 2019/882, transposed in Italy by Legislative Decree 82/2022) has extended digital accessibility obligations to private companies as well.

We do not see this simply as a rule to comply with. An accessible website is clearer, better organised and easier to use for everyone, including people with no disability at all: someone reading a technical sheet from a phone on the shop floor, someone browsing in a language that is not their own, or someone who is simply in a hurry.

Reporting an issue

Listening to the people who use the site is the most useful tool we have. If you come across a barrier or any difficulty, please tell us: every report helps us find problems that technical checks do not catch.

Write to info@gmp.it, indicating the page concerned and the difficulty you experienced. We answer every report and take it into account in our subsequent work.
